Award Winning International Oil Painter and Creator of Bella’s World
I’m Heather, an award winning international oil painter and illustrator based in Cleveland, Georgia. My artwork has been collected across the United States and abroad, including by two American presidents. My paintings have appeared in newspapers, magazines, galleries, national art shows, and creative collaborations throughout my career. I have exhibited in art shows all over the country, won international competitions, and even had my artwork featured on custom designed shoes after winning a global art contest.
Fine art has been my life for many years, but Bella’s World is something much more personal.
Bella was my daughter. I created her character to honor her spirit, her joy, her imagination, and the magic she brought into my life. Bella is the heart of this world. I voice her, I draw her, and I carry her story into every illustration, sticker, and piece of art that comes out of my studio.
Dash and Splash are her friends, characters who support her, play with her, and help build the magical world she leads. Bella is the star. She always has been.
A Growing Cast of Tiny Artists Bella’s World is expanding every day. In my sketchbooks, I have developed many more characters who will soon join Bella’s universe, each with their own personality, charm, and story. These new characters will appear in future stickers, prints, bedtime stories, and animations as Bella’s World continues to grow.
My Creative Process I work from my home studio, blending my oil painting background with gouache, watercolor, ink, colored pencils, and digital finishing. Every character begins as a hand drawn sketch, then grows into a fully realized piece filled with texture, personality, and heart.
Why I Create Bella’s World Bella’s World is my way of honoring my daughter’s creativity, kindness, and magic. It is a place where art feels warm, comforting, and full of imagination, a world built from love, storytelling, and the belief that tiny artists can make a big impact.
